Programs









We are currently providing Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other drugs (ATOD) programming in the Humboldt Park West Town community to grades 5th to 8th. Our team of 5 Prevention Specialists and a Supervisor deliver a curriculum to grade school children and some high school students. Program is made possible and funded by the Department of Human Services (DHS).
Treatment services include a Comprehensive, asset-based Substance Abuse assessment, placement and / or referral. We provide both adolescent (ages 10-18) and adult (18-24) Outpatient(Level 1) and Intensive Outpatient (Level 2) Treatment services. Our agency has professional staff that is competent, culturally diverse, and able to address specific risk factors and concerns pertinent to the communities we serve. Individual and Group sessions are available that provide educational topics, such as impulse control and peer pressure. Program made possible and funded by the Department of Human Services (DHS).
Counseling is available for youth,12-17 years old, who have been arrested, and who live within the surrounding area of the Humboldt Park neighborhood. Individual and group counseling is available for Anger Management Counseling. Program is made possible and funded by the Department of Human Services (DHS).
Management Services are provided to youth ages 13-17 who have been referred by the juvenile court system. Services include life skills, tutoring, counseling, recreation, and referrals. Goal is to divert youth from committing further criminal offenses. Program is made possible and funded by the Department of Human Services (DHS).
24 hour crisis intervention to homeless and runaway youth. Temporary placement will be given in teen shelters. Program is made possible and funded by the Department of Human Services (DHS).
Resource is available for youth ages 11-17 who wish to participate in life skills workshops, health education, tutoring and educational assistance, mentoring, and field trips. Program is made possible and funded by the Department of Human Services (DHS).
Participants have the opportunity to receive homework assistance and learn about the different forms of visual art, such as painting and sculpting in "To the Moon Arts" program. Youth are also able to be involved in community service and field trips. Participants must be children 6-12 years old who wish to participate Monday-Thursday 3-6pm. Program is free and made possible and funded by the Department of Family and Support Services (DFSS) and the Illinois Arts Council. 
The YSP Transitional Living Program aims at providing young adult females ages 17-20 years old referred by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) with a safe and nurturing environment comprised of housing, educational and vocational guidance, independent living skill building, and support. The TLP prepares designated at-risk youth for transition to ILO or emancipation into the community of their choice. The services are tailored to meet the individual needs of each participant and focused on the acquisition of skills to improve their quality of life. The anticipated length of participants in the program ranges twelve to eighteen months. The program is staffed with one program supervisor, one case worker, one senior residential advisor and residential advisors operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Program aims to prepare DCFS youth ages 19-21 years old to become more independent as they become adults. Independent living services generally include assistance with money management skills, educational assistance, parenting skills, household management skills, employment preparation, and other services.
